Privacy policy
Lavamigo is software that laundromats use to take orders, bookings, payments and texts. It is run by [Company legal name, LLC] ("Lavamigo", "we"). This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the choices you have.
Who is responsible. When you are a customer of a laundromat, that laundromat decides how your information is used (it is the "controller") and we process it on its behalf (we are its "processor" or "service provider"). For our own website, sign-up leads and laundromat staff accounts, Lavamigo is the controller.
What we collect
Laundromat customers: name, phone number, optional email, pickup or delivery address, order details (weight, services, notes, amounts, dates), payment status (never your card number - Stripe handles cards), text messages you send to the laundromat, and your texting choices with a record of when and how you gave them.
Laundromat owners and staff: name, username, role, sign-in times, two-step sign-in enrollment (not the code itself), time-clock entries and an activity log of changes made in the dashboard.
Website visitors and sign-up requests: what you type in the request-access form (name, business, email, phone, city) and basic security logs (IP address, browser, time), which are hashed or deleted on the schedule below.
We do not collect sensitive data such as health, precise location, biometrics, government ID or financial account numbers.
How it's used
To run the service the laundromat asked for: confirming and scheduling orders, pickup and delivery, ready-for-pickup texts, taking payments, receipts and reports; to keep accounts secure (sign-in checks, abuse limits, audit logs); to give support; and to meet legal duties. We don't sell personal information, don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and don't use it for targeted ads. Each laundromat sees only its own customers.
Text messages
If you agree when booking, the laundromat texts you about your order; a separate, optional box lets you also get occasional offers. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP (or ALTO) to stop at any time, HELP (or AYUDA) for help. Consent isn't a condition of purchase. We keep a record of your choice (time, wording shown, IP address and browser) as proof of consent. Mobile numbers and texting consent are never sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing.
Service providers (subprocessors)
We share information only with providers that help run the service, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Google Cloud / Firebase (USA) - hosting, database, sign-in, file storage, logs and backups.
- Stripe - card payments on the laundromat's own Stripe account.
- Telnyx - sending and receiving text messages.
- Anthropic - optional AI features (reading a photo of a daily cash slip, repair suggestions). Photos are sent only when staff use those features and are not used to train models.
- Cloudflare Turnstile - bot check on public forms, when switched on.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety, or as part of a merger or sale of our business (with notice to you).
How long we keep it
- Orders, customers and receipts: while the laundromat uses Lavamigo, then deleted within 30 days after it leaves (it can download an export first). Backups roll off within a further 30 days.
- Text replies and the text log: 18 months.
- Texting consent and opt-out records: kept as proof for as long as needed to honor and defend your choice (phone stored hashed after a deletion request).
- Website sign-up requests: 24 months.
- Security and rate-limit records: 30 days. Audit logs of staff actions: up to 7 years.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Each laundromat's data is kept separate, staff accounts have roles, owners and our administrators must use two-step sign-in, sessions time out, and changes are recorded in an audit log. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will notify the laundromat and, where required, you and the authorities, as state law requires.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask to see, get a copy of, correct or delete your personal information, and to opt out of any sale or targeted advertising (we don't do either). Residents of states with privacy laws (for example California and New Jersey) have these rights by law, and we also honor Global Privacy Control browser signals as an opt-out.
How to ask: contact the laundromat you use, or email [Contact email]. We'll confirm your request and respond within 45 days (we may extend once by 45 days and will tell you why). We verify requests by matching the phone number or email on your orders. You may use an authorized agent with your signed permission. If we deny a request you can appeal by replying to our answer; we'll respond within 60 days, and if you're still not satisfied you can contact your state attorney general. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
Cookies and tracking
We use no advertising cookies, analytics trackers or session recording. The site stores a few settings in your browser (sign-in, language, light or dark mode) needed for it to work.
Children
This service is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or under 16 for any sale, which we never do).
Changes and contact
We'll post changes here and update the date below; for material changes we'll notify laundromats in the dashboard first. Questions or requests: [Contact email] ยท [Company postal address].
